New Volunteer Opportunity – Helping to Care for Orphaned Rhinos

Amanzi Travel is delighted to offer a new opportunity – allowing volunteers to work hands on and up close with amazing wildlife including orphaned Rhinos and experience wildlife conservation at its best.

This Living with Orphaned Rhinos project, based on a game reserve in Mpumulanga, South Africa, is led by dedicated and passionate staff who are experts in caring for and rehabilitating many species of wildlife – and in particular the endangered rhino.IMG_0281

Many baby rhinos arrive in a critical and traumatised condition, having lost their mothers in attacks by poachers after the rhino horn. These baby orphaned rhinos receive all the care they need to help them recover from their experience and volunteers are involved in the whole process – from dressing their wounds, to bottle feeding and helping them to resocialise with other rhinos.

If you would like to make a difference to the rhino in South Africa, contact us now to hear more about this wonderful opportunity.

Volunteer Experience:

A truly life changing experience, working on wildlife and community volunteering projects in Africa over eight years ago, convinced Gemma Whitehouse to give up her job as a Marketing Manager for an international organisation and use her skills and expertise to set up a company that would offer others the same amazing opportunities with a service second to none - thus Amanzi Travel was born.
